Another Win, And A Shutout To Boot For Brodeur!

by

Mike That is!

Who wouldve thought that Pascal Leclaire would get injured again, and Brian Elliott would just happen to be out with the flu. Hey, fine with me! Mike Brodeur is now 2-0-0 in the big leagues previously beating the Wild 4-1, making 22 saves that game. Tonight he was stellar again when it was a match-up of the men between the pipes, as Lundqvist held his own in the Rangers end.
The long 5 game losing streak is now over, but of course being in Sens nation this raises so many more questions. Should Brodeur see action @ Montreal Canadiens on Saturday night? Was it really Brodeur (goaltending) that was the reason that the sens won tonights game? These are just a few questions that one may ask.

The sens still in that dog fight in the Eastern Conference that will probably last straight to the end, so every decision made will be crucial. The game Saturday night is a HUGE game @ the Bell Centre, as it will be a little bit of seperation between the two clubs.

So, if you are Cory Clouston … Who do you start in Montreal? Pascal Leclaire (if healthy), Brian Elliott, or Mike Brodeur

Notes: Kuba was suppose to return to the lineup tonight, and we could be getting the captain back by Tuesday hosting the leagues best, the Chicago Blackhawks. Alfy, we will need you!

GO SENS GO!!!

Trade away Campoli, Kelly, Kovy, Picard…heck, might as well trade away all of our young prospects while we’re at it. HAHAHAHA…. You know I’m kidding! 😉 It’s all about patience sens fans! We’ll be fine!

What an amazing team effort tonight! Big congrats to Mike Brodeur tonight! I’m beginning to wonder if we’ve got a bit of a Tim Thomas type story on our hands where a career minor league goalie come up and shines!? I really hope Mike Brodeur continues his hot streak…if not just to light a fire under LeClaire and Elliot.

I loved Campoli’s game tonight! Regin’s hit on Avery was priceless! I could go on and on but I think it’s enough to say that it was full out amazing team effort tonight!

Let’s keep the wins coming boys!!! GO SENS GO!

The hit on Avery was awesome, both goalies unbelievable …. I dont want to jump to conclusions yet but it would be awesome if it was a Tim Thomas story. Hey, the man has been great in goal.

Chances are I think you will see Elliott in net @ Habs, which might be a good idea because Brodeur is young, and would he be ready for a hockey crazed city like Montreal. That is the question.

    It would be interesting!
BIG win lastnight … unfortunatly Habs won too

Last night was a HUGE test for Brodeur but he didn’t really have much time to think about it before it was pretty much all over. You might be right about letting Elliot play Saturday night.
It would leave Brodeur hungry for the next time he sees action. I’d be tempted to play him though as I’m sure his confidence is through the roof right now.
We’ll see! 🙂 Big 4 point game tomorrow night! GO SENS GO!
